It’s a sweet fake dating (and close proximity) slow-burn romance novel. We meet small but mighty Hannah, who has been charged to be the bodyguard for Jack, a film star who has become a recluse since the death of his younger brother. When Jack has to be isolated to help his family, his bodyguard becomes his “girlfriend.” Jack and Hannah have endearing faults that will have you rooting for them from the beginning.

I loved the plot and found Center’s writing light and easy to read. The biggest struggle was that the dialogue sometimes fell flat for me, and I was impatient in this very slow burn. The ending also seemed rushed with lots of action in the last few places, although I was satisfied with the result. It would be a great book for those looking for closed doors!
