Book Review: A Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley

Really Loved sci-fi with romance/mystery undertones  For Real This Time – Gracie Abrams  At the surface level, this appears to be a time travel novel where those from the past, known as expats, have a bridge โ€œor escortโ€ to help assimilate to the twenty-first century. Best Books of the 21st Century- My Thoughts

After the publication of the New York Times Best Books of 21st Century, I loved seeing everyone pick their own best books of the twenty-first century. I read 7.5 off the New York Times list (I am technically in the middle of Warmth of Other Suns), and this was significantly harder than I expected (I […]

The Collected Regrets of Cover by Mikki Brammer- A Book Review

In the Collected Regrets of Clover, Mikki Branner explores what it means to have a well-lived life and the seemingly disinterested approach we (especially those of us in Western countries) take towards death.ย The ability to accept death is such a rare but beautiful trait and something I wish I could provide to more of my patients and their families. This book touched a piece of me I rarely get to share with those outside of work, and I hope those who read ๐˜Š๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜™๐˜ฆ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜Š๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณย  feel a pull towards a life filled with fewer regrets and more living.

Yellowface by R.F. Kuang – A Review

From the discussion on how social media sells books to how the publishing industry has already selected what will be a best seller long before books make it to market, Kuang gave details on the โ€œdirtyโ€ side of publishing. As someone who spends lots of time engaged on book-related social media, I loved the critique I believe Kuang was trying to get across.ย
